What is SUSTAINABILITY?

Sustainability is "meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs"

Sustainability is the ideal destination which employs sustainable development strategies to reach that vision through people & communities working together, encouraging participatory action, involvement, and creativity, to sustain healthy relationships.

Sustainable development is planning and designing for the 'whole system' in which we live and depend upon- with a long-term visionof sustainability.

Sustainable development is... smart energy, smart, slow & strategic planning that incorporates people & environment equally from the beginning all the way.

Sustainable development is... thinking globally and acting locally.

Sustainable development does not mean giving up luxuries... yet, it may mean considering what is needed vs. wanted and considering all the implications to those things 'wanted' and 'needed.'

Sustainability is... thinking about the generations to come. It is taking the greener path and working towards more healthy and happy futures for all.
